Same effects not seen with the adults: results with toddlers: 26% swayed, 23% staggered, 33% fell down, adult test: trying to balance on a narrow beam with eyes open first and then closed. Contains no blood vessels (which normally protect against dust and debris: obtain protection from tears and aqueous fluid. It is curved, allowing it to help focus light on the retina: must remain transparent to allow light to come into the retina.
