If the same experiment was performed on a 25 month-old, they will understand that the object is still existent and is only hidden from sight. For example, if a tall, skinny glass held 100 ml of water that was then poured into a wide, shallow container, the 11 month-old would not un- derstand that this is the same water: pre-operational (2-7 years)
