Cons: strictly hierarchical (faster to confirm a pig is an animal than mammal, even though should be the opposite, only works for (cid:498)true(cid:499) propositions, cannot account for typicality or category size. Smith et al. (cid:495)s feature comparison model effects: the meaning is contained in 2 sets of semantic features, characteristic features- not necessary to the meaning, describe the concept & many members.
