Sex: biological difference in genetic composition, reproductive anatomy and function. Suggested because biology is thought to be mutually exclusive and unchangeable, but in todays society there is possibility for a sex change/ gender reassignment. Gender: the social, cultural and psychological aspects, which are relevant to men and women. Organs are sex while pink and blue are gender. The distinction between sex and gender is important because sex is not under personal control, but predetermined by biology. Gender is how we are raised in society, not everyone identifies as the same sex and gender. If we think about gender differences, its more of a social issue and can be changed, while sex is biological.
