Document Summary

All organisms have a distribution that all have limits. They can be closely related to other species. Abiotic- nonliving: referring to the physical properties of an environment or biotic-pertaining to living factors of organism"s in an environment dispersal distributions - the movement of indidvuals or gametes away from the parent location. This movement sometimes expands the geographical range of a population or species. Modern gene pools shaped by historical events- modern genetics tells us where humans came from. Geologist work at levels ranging from individuals organisms to the plant. Global ecology- landscape ecology- ecosystem ecology- community ecology- population ecology and organismal ecology. Organismal ecology- studies how an organisms structure, physiology and for animals behavior meet environmental challenges. Most dispersal events, animals tend not to under go. Long distance dispersal evens- must occur at least some times. Dispersal- organisms move to a place and establish. Global patterns- global climate patterns determine largely by solar energy and earths movement in space.
