Everyone is telling him to go into the ministry, how he should live his love, what the purpose of
life and rules of life are, but with Raina he gets a sense of other possibilities
oDoesn’t think about her as a real person very much, processing her and putting her into roles for the needs
and desires he has
When she calls him in destress from the responsibilities of her life
Angelic creature who is everything Craig wants and needs, but also a very sad and lonely person,
has to take over the parental role in her family, lots of pressure placed on her by everyone but
handles it so well – moments when the pain comes through
oRejects the church and the values in the end to his family, specifically to his brother he tries to build a
new sense of purpose

oRefers to her as a temple, new temple of new faith of new spirituality he wants to construct
Sees her as the institution that will give his life meaning
Loses the temple and he needs to construct another purpose
