Unesco general history of africa for ideas on topics. First paragraph telling exactly what it is about. Get into the topic right away, nothing like history is always changing . Have a very obvious thesis and state it right away. Intro time, place, theme, review the structure (what themes the body will be talking about, only one sentence) Topic sentence to open up each paragraph. Can use direct quotations, no more than one or two, not really needed though. No footnotes in the conclusion because there is no new information being added. More important to be clear than to try and impress.
