People can now live further away from where they work: used mass producion techniques to build new suburban neighborhoods, worked like a factory. One person did the same job over and over again. Strange rules- designed for conformity: mow their lawn once a week, couldn"t hang their wash outside during the weekends, homeownership could ight the cold war.
