Seem relatable- during the baby boom: seem like a typical family, despite how diferent they are from the average. Gives the public a sense of atachment to them. The elecion of 1960: jfk (democrat) vs. richard nixon (republican) Fronier had played a role as a symbol for new things: kennedy wasn"t referring to that- he was referring to something much more vague. Sill ofer hope to the people of the us.
