Developments follows an orderly and logical progression. Teachers must consider this progression in their planning. Development does not necessarily occur at a constant rate. Teachers must allow time and practice over time. Teachers must work at how students know, not just how much they know. Teachers must consider the varying rates for learners in their classroom.
