An entire consciousness needed to be changed, and to convince all people - and all women - the women needed to have a vote and a voice, for example. In women"s history, it follows how women enter in to these formally off limit places, such as education. Therefore, women had to fight for the right to be anything that they wanted to be, the same as men. Therefore, an articulate framework of arguments needed to be set up. They needed a voice to be developed; they went from being told they were the angel in the house" and they weren"t smart enough or whatnot to be in a sphere that was unfamiliar to them at the time.
