Where do vets work:
1. Clinical Vet Practice:
oIndividual animals or groups of animals
oThe client is a private citizen (income from frees charged directly to the client)
oPractice is defined by species and / or discipline
2. Public Vet Practice:
oPractice on animal populations and animal health issues
oEmployer is commonly government, academic institution or non-governmental agency
CFIA employed
oIncome comes from taxes and public sources
Licensing in Canada:
Each province has a licensing body established by law
Responsibility of the provincial veterinary body
Necessary that licensing happens (no unregistered individual may practice)
