Actin is a building block of micro laments. Micro laments blue - something that binds to actin. Inside the envelope is a meshwork of intermediate lments. Two strings of actin wind up around each other. Long parallel array that can be seen in extensions (wbc grabbing bateria) Around the periphery of the nuclear envelope. If you grab your earlobe it doesnt come apart. All the cells are held together by intermediate lemnst. Provide structural integrity to more than one cell. Usually one central organizing region in the cell usually right around the golgi that nucleates the formation o this gigantic microtubules. Made up of 13 laments which are linear arrays of tubular dimers. Two strains of actin will wind around each other and make a helical thin lament. Important for 3 di erent architectural assemblies of actins. They can assemble into long parallel arrays that can be seen in extension (wbc chasing microorganism)
