Document Summary
Reading this text is remote sensing eye is a sensor. Common remote sensing systems include weather radars: through the analysis of data/information, collected by a sensor, that is not in physical contact with the object, surface/area etc. It functions in harmony with other spatial data collection techniques or tools of the mapping sciences, including cartography and geographic information systems (gis) Different sensors provide different spatial, temporal, and spectral scales. Generally, rs will include aerial, satellite, and ground observations. Rs will also include point observations from ground stations ( ground truth : weather stations, in-situ sensors. Remote sensing is unobtrusive if the sensor passively records the emr reflected or emitted by the object of interest. Passive remote sensing does not disturb the object or area of interest. Remote sensing devices may be programmed to collect data systematically. Able ot gain the same kind of data over and over again.
