Knowledge systems these are often not understood to be related to people and places. They are usually thought to be subject matter. Indigenous knowledge always relates to peoples and places. Data is bits of knowledge but it doesn"t have any meaning until you make it into a meaning. Information is bringing data together to have meaning it is dependent on you. Knowledge is understanding, wisdom, how you use the information. Personal identity develops upon epistemological (know- think school) and ontological(being- don"t get much help on that) foundations. What you see depends on what you know. Personal identity develops upon epistemology and ontological foundations. In other words, individual identity evolves or develops through direct personal experiences of immersion into processes of knowing and being.
