Used to modify the perspecive and depth of ield of the landscape. It is as like there is a surveying eye of unknown agency. This is used oten to try and make the hotel seing as big as possible. These lenses are used to show a glimpse into what the characters feel. This is used to follow the characters during the irst part of the ilm. There is a geometrical patern of movement; a well deined grid of perpendicular lines. It establishes a vast, yet sill uncontrolled kind of space. It mirrors the way the eye sees. It is used to show danny driting of on his own (when distancing from camera) It pushes the audience into the space with the characters, allowing them to have more emoional connecion to them. It gives an aspect of uncertainty and vulnerability. When danny is riding his tricycle, it makes the viewers feel as though he is being followed.
