Power of discourse: who says it, how they say it, etc. The problem with stereotypes is not so much that they are untrue, instead they are incomplete accounts. Avoid general principles of what causes problems or what resolves them. Client is the expert of their own lives. Families have good intentions, they do not need or want problems. Families are profoundly influenced by the discourses around them. People are not the problem (externalization), the problem is separate from the person.
