What impact does this have on the nurse and the family: what is required before effective behavioral evaluation can take place within a family? (2 things) Being healthy is no synonymous with medical care. Nurse"s role is to look at families health promotion. First to identify lifestyle and environment as determinants of health. Social learning theory major teacher role is to enhance client self confidence and self efficacy to leas to desired client outcomes: draw the mcgill model paradigm indicating the 4 parameters and the direction of interactions. Work of nursing is to change the environment the person/family is in only time change/learning can occur. There are some things we cannot change no matter how much learning occurs; we can cope with the situation (ie. person with down syndrome can"t change disease, but can help with coping: person/family. Family and the individual are interrelated: obligation and care giving functions, needs and change are family determined.
