Live in large groups: have good sense of sight, smell or hearing, be good at hiding. Avoiding detection with camouflage is one of the best ways to avoid being eaten: defensive armour or horns. Hard shells make it hard for predators to weaken or cripple the prey. Pangolins have modified hair that looks like scales: be quick. Adaptations in dinosaurs for avoiding predators: warning displays, camouflage, and chemicals/odours are not part of skeletal structures and cannot be identified. Don"t fossilize and are impossible to figure out. Likely that dinosaurs had these adaptations as well looking at modern animals but we will never know for sure o.
