Emergence of violence sport, like boxing, not surprising after men have been to war. Emergence of hockey, wininpg falcons werea group of pilots from wwi, and they were extremely important post wwi in developing the sense of national identity through hockey. Very significant that they got to play because they were heroes. Antwerp olympic games women requested to participate but were refused, led to a series of events that led to more participation.
