(and why?) What are the general properties of androgens? (eg. how and where are they synthesized, how are they secreted, transported, metabolized, how do they act, how is their secretion regulated?) Why are these hormones important? (ie. what role do they play in the fetus, at the time of puberty and in the adult?) Review the journey of the sperm and the egg from their site of production to the site of fertilization. Optional readings for the topic of reproductive physiology.
