False picture test: a photograph can misrepresent reality. In one of the false picture tests, a child in shown a picture of an object in a location. Children with autism performed much better than normal 4- year- olds. Normal 4- year olds perform better in false belief tests than individuals with autism autism comes with specificity to some intellectual impairments. Children with autism don"t participate in pretend play. They test the real physical properties of object, but they don"t make one object symbolise another object. Not interested in testing object in non-real ways.
