Some drugs aren"t harmless when it is taken in a prescribed way, but can be dangerous when someone takes the drug in a way that is not recommended or prescribed. The use and abuse of them can be good or bad, but not the drugs themselves. Every drug has multiple effects, and both the size and quality of the drug affect the effect of the drug. The effects of a drug depends on the person. Some people are more resistant to the effects of drugs, and some people are more effected. Potency: the amount of drug necessary to cause an effect. Toxicity: the capacity of a drug to do damage or cause adverse effects in the body. Acute toxicity has 2 types: behavioural and physiological. Behavioural: intoxication that impairs the user"s actions and increase the danger to themselves or others. Overdose that causes the user to stop breathing or for their heart to stop.
