The effects of a drug depends on the person. Some people are more resistant to the effects of drugs, and some people are more effected. Potency: the amount of drug necessary to cause an effect. Toxicity: the capacity of a drug to do damage or cause adverse effects in the body. Acute toxicity has 2 types: behavioural and physiological. Behavioural: intoxication that impairs the user"s actions and increase the danger to themselves or others. Overdose that causes the user to stop breathing or for their heart to stop.
