On the way, he stops at house of heimir, falls in love with brynhild. Sigurd arrives at the court of giuki, his queen grimhild, three sons gunnar, hogni and stepson. At giuki"s, sigurd drinks magic drink of forgetfulness, forgets brynhild. Sigurd marries gudrun, swears blood-brotherhood with gunnar and hogni. Goes to win for gunnar the hand of brynhild budladottir, who lives behind a wall of fire on. She will only marry the man who can ride through the flames. Gunnar"s horse frightens, he and sigurd change shapes and sigurd appearances and sigurd(in. Gunnar"s guise) and grani ride through the fire.
