Crime through time: the criminal law is a fluid concept, many behaviors that were crimes yesterday are not crimes today. Some behaviors we call crimes today will not be crimes tomorrow: criminal law is always evolving and reflects changes to the power structure as well as the morals of a society. What else is criminology: criminology is an objective social science. It involves: the development of theory, the formulation of research hypotheses; (testable statements, the collection of information to test research hypotheses; (data collection, the evaluation of research findings. Use scientific lens, various methodologies to reach various answers to important questions. Majority of canadians believe violent crime has increased significantly over the last two decades. Most canadians, when asked about their neighborhood, believe that those places are safe. (places you have experience with) Most dangerous city in canada- people tend to think that toronto is the most dangerous city in canada.
