Many people carry out different activities on a daily basis but as long as it is not reported, it never happened. Therefore, we are talking about official records of criminal activity. If no one made a report, it never happened. Such crimes are known as the dark figure : to talk about a crime means we have explicitly stated that there is such things that we cannot do. There is no crime if there is no law. Indictable offences: murder, kidnapping, terrorism, drug trafficking, robbery, etc, 2. Summary conviction offences: possession of marijuana under 30 grams, soliciting a prostitute, patronizing a brothel, etc, 3. Mixed or hybrid offences: may be tried as any of the two categories above.
