Why are millennials leaving the church: the culture wars. Most religious groups are against abortion in general. What youth actually say: large number of the unaffiliated dislike institutional religion (1 in 5, almost 1 in 5 say they are still religious but not affiliated, 1 in 10 simple report being inactive for a variety of reasons. Institutional (government, church, academics: belief that scientific knowledge disproved religion, rationality and religion are incompatible, no evidence.
