Hispanic america only talks about spain but ignores portugal, different from latin. All conquered by spain/portugal, share the same history. Places where there are more indigenous vs. european/african influence, vice versa. Most linguistically diverse areas of the world, amazon region. Very different isolated areas, people remain speaking their own dialects since they don"t communicate with other groups. Many languages disappearing but some becoming more dominant stemming from indigenous uprisings in 1990"s. How strong indigenous societies were before colonist"s came, influenced how strong they are today.
