Homer portrays certain characters in a distinct light. We also see hector, and priam as heroes. Strong, swift footed, courageous, charismatic, generous; when it suits him, noble, well known, dutiful. Achilles however is fated to live a short life. This part of the story teaches how to live honorably and according to the code. Homer contrasts this with achilles" la(cid:272)k of i(cid:374)teg(cid:396)ity th(cid:396)ough hu(cid:373)a(cid:374) fault. The greeks are given the a(cid:271)ility to do (cid:449)hat they please f(cid:396)o(cid:373) the gods. Viewed as spoils of war and property: gita: A (cid:271)attle (cid:271)et(cid:449)ee(cid:374) the ku(cid:396)u"s (cid:894)a(cid:374)tago(cid:374)ist(cid:895) a(cid:374)d the pa(cid:374)du"s (cid:894)p(cid:396)otago(cid:374)ist(cid:895). His fault is that he likes to gamble. In the telling of this story, krishna emphasis the idea of order (dharma). If you have this, you must do that. Samsara is the idea of life death and the cycle of that. Moksha is the idea of liberation from this cycle. Dharma is part of what can be called kharma yoga.
