Biomedicalization and the pharmaceutical commodification of health. Nature of biomedicine changed with the incorporation of technology. They don"t see these shifts as determining futures. Theres a social insight of science that is often neglected. This needs to be opened up for us to look at it, in order to make it a mch more democratic process. Transformation of information & the production and distribution of knowledge. Heterogeneity of production distributin and acess to biomedical knowledges. Transformation of bodies and identities: from normalization to customization. They talk about biomedical governance as working from the inside out. Body is now viewed as flexible, adapting, able to transform. It is a shift from desire to have a normal body to taylor made. They always say ho the company is taking advantage of the ill patients. They barely talked about improving education, where as this should have been a bigger portion to be talked about.
