Theory: theory is an account of about what something is, how it works, what produces it and what it can change. It is something that we look through to interpret what we are looking at: theoretical view influences our perception. If we believe in certain theory, then our view point differs from others: theories are human creation. They are always being impacted by people using them: but they are not always the way how everything works, 4 goals of theory, description it is the process of using symbols to represent phenomena. Describing a particular situation: explanation-it is the effort to clarify how and why something works. Difference between explanation and understanding- understanding is more expanded conclusions. Understanding is the outcome which differs from explanation: reform- active persuade of positive social change. The whole idea of theories is to help develop our societies.
