You can clearly see population growth in the areas that started growing their food. People started to settle down, started to domesticate animals and plants. Cattle, goats, sheep, wheat and rye, available to domestication. with in the next few thousand years other areas picked up on it. First urban-based civilations were the ones with the agriculture, eastern part of the fertile. Crescent mesoptamia, and 200 years later in egypt. During medieval times, more advanced areas of europe and china, were still unproductive compared to modern times.
