Industrialization was when agriculture could be improved to such an extent that food supply went up considerably and that helped with population explosion. 1700 s in england, then spread to europe then to world 2nd agricultural revolution. better mechanization, widespread use of horses and oxes pulling ploughs, better ploughs, more productive seeds, better tilling techniques, qualitative revolution. 1st one,over 10,000 years ago in the fertile crescent. You can clearly see population growth in the areas that started growing their food. People started to settle down, started to domesticate animals and plants. Cattle, goats, sheep, wheat and rye, available to domestication. with in the next few thousand years other areas picked up on it. First urban-based civilations were the ones with the agriculture, eastern part of the fertile. Crescent mesoptamia, and 200 years later in egypt. During medieval times, more advanced areas of europe and china, were still unproductive compared to modern times.
