Physical and environmental regions: man made physical boundaries, ural mountains and bosporus. Climate zones: maritime climes, northern and northwestern france, westerlies by atlantic disturbances, mediterranean climate, southern france, continental climate, central and eastern france, alpine variable climate. Further you go in the continent the dryer and colder: massif central, alps, pyrenees, spain- dry climates. A lot of raw materials due to variety of natural landscape. Deserts by subtropical high: temper zone, canada within westerlies. Four physiographic units: central uplands, alpine mountains, main mountain complex, western uplands, norther european lowland. Milan and venice is quite fertile and productive. Great northern/european plain: greatest place of human contact, positive and negative due to flat topography (wars etc. , european hills, massif central, hercynian hills (ardenens, black forest), bohemian hills, subdivided by numerous river valleys. Himalayan range: formed by collision of indian-australian plate with eurasian plate.
