Document Summary

Have a muscle belly, which is the meat of muscle. These muscles originate and insert onto the bone, which serves as a lever, allowing us to move around. Muscles originate at a certain bone with a tendon, and insert onto a bone with the tendon. As the muscle contracts or relaxes, we get di erent types of movement. Tendon: elastic band that ties muscle to bone. As muscle contracts it produces a certain type of movement. Muscle belly in front of the axis of rotation (fulcrum or joint) and a load at the end, which will resists against the force of the muscle. As the muscle contracts, it will pull the lever around the fulcrum (joint) and the resistance is the load that goes in the opposite direction due to gravity. To produce a given movement, di erent muscles will work together in di erent ways. Main or prime mover for that given movement.
