What does it mean to perceive something?

3. The capacity now having a form in accordance with the form of x.

What does it mean to have “a form in accordance with he form of x”?
There are two interpretations of this idea.
Your capacity to perceive a quality of an object physically changes such that it matches the
quality. (i.e. something that is red will literally change your visual perception such that it is red).
