Discussion on the movie: children of men. What kind of stability is there in britain: an authoritarian state. The main characters are crushed by the system and don"t see any point of resisting the system. They decide that their only exit is drop out : such as jasper palmer. The importance of the author of the book for this movie wants us to focus on this sphere and groups that are affected by the government. The reasons don"t matter, the effect is that the human race will no longer sustain. We might not even know the entire reasoning. People want to be safe and secure, this is what derives the reason for state functions. The authoritarian regime in the movie is a system where people are driven by fear. Does high modernism work and dos it have weaknesses. Extension of the enlightenment project for a better future.
