There was a lot tension during the war. The wafd party were looking at the king as someone wanting power for only himself and not the egyptians/ not for the benefit of the society. The land belonged to the state, there was no private property. Today, the state doesn"t have enough money to pay the bureaucracy. The banks wont allow you to take out more than 1 thousand a month ; it is your money but the state is in need of it and therefore keeps your money. One of the many important things of the revolution was; dissolution of political parties: dissolution of political party. He followed it by nationalization of foreign interest. Private capital was not supportive of the regime so he nationalized the capital. Nasser was able to impose his opinion on the social political battle. Nasser was introducing these policies, at the same time standing against the west and israel.
