What are the common denominators among the middle east. All the countries have established their national existence before the middle east. We will discuss isues that are shared by the middle east. Kurdistan- not a recognized political entity that has been accepted. We have a clash of civilization: countries/clusters are coming together but they all work based on different powers ( religion, democracy etc) Aristocrats were the first to talk about comparative politics ( comparing two different political constitutions) The numerical question: who rules and how many. 1, a group, or all the people we call majority. In who"s interest is this one group ruling is it a hierarchy- passing down to their sons and relatives only concerted about themselves. 1 person in power can either be: tyranny/dictatorship or a monarchy. Group: oligarchy, aristocracy: in the profession of the government. Khomeiny said: those who have the right to rule is the clergy.
