Sample space: more complex, the collection of all possible outcome. Flipping two coins s: {hh, ht, th, tt} A tree diagram can be used to show possible outcomes in an experiment. Randomly generated number also have a sample space. S = {all number between 0 and 1} = [0, 1] Probability: a valued between 0 and 1 assigned to a sample point which dictates its likelihood of occuring when the experiment is performed. The number is usually taken to be the relative frequency of occurrence of a sample point in a very long series of repetitions of an experiment.
