Nerve impulse simulates calcium inlux in cytosol, simulates contracile moion. Propionate is a source in ruminants: glc acetate ( accoa, 2c), propionate ( propcoa, 3c), butyrate ( butcoa, 4c, accoa and butcoa can only go through regular faty acid metabolism, propcoa is converted to succcoa (anapleuroic reacion) Missing 21 kcal of energy, carried in atp molecules (the 6~p carry the energy)
