To look in detail at definitions such as affective states, suffering, anthropomorphism, and consciousness, which are frequently used in the field of animal welfare. Animals can be in good health and still not have a good life experience. Disagreement about animal welfare because of different ethical values. Five freedoms based on the brambell report: more is needed to protect animals than just preventing wanton cruelty. World organisation for animal health (oie): means how animal is coping with conditions they live in. Good welfare is healthy, comfortable, well nourished, safe, able to express innate behaviour and if it is not suffering from unpleasant states. Ruth harrison: open doors of farming animals practices to the public.
