To compare this to utilitasism, greatest happiness and greatest wealth are not the same thing. Ef schumacher says cost benefit analysis is the pretense that everything has a price or that money is the highest of all values. People are not only motivated by their own needs but the needs and wants of others including other species are important considerations.
