They utilise the ethnographic method: can range from bikers to tribes to circuses etc, archaeology systematic study of past human cultures/lifestyles via analysis of human interactions with and modifications of the environment, including technologies. Refers to anthropologists who specialise in the scientific recovery, analysis and interpretation of the material remains of past societies.
