It focuses on expanding our appreciation of the human experience in space (diverse cultures) and time (past cultures also past species). Expanding our knowledge on humanity today as well as in the past. i. e. the study of human diversity, both past and present. There are four fields: cultural, archaeology, linguistics, biological, forensic, medical, cultural anthropology the study of the structure and function of human societies (living societies). It is the study of the cultures of humanity. i. e. the study of human cultures. Ethnography is the detailed, comparative studies of human cultures. They utilise the ethnographic method: can range from bikers to tribes to circuses etc, archaeology systematic study of past human cultures/lifestyles via analysis of human interactions with and modifications of the environment, including technologies. Refers to anthropologists who specialise in the scientific recovery, analysis and interpretation of the material remains of past societies.
