Not able to ight against it or override it. Ectotherms may be clustered with conformers because they can"t control their internal body temperature. Regulators vs conformers/ endotherms vs ectotherms are two diferent concepts because the later only applies to body temperature whereas regulators vs conformers applies to body temperature, ph, blood salinity. Comes from the internal perspecive of the organism and how it responds internally to changing environmental temperature. But the problem with this term is that ectotherms may have warm blood if they are in the sun.
