Since then, maaaany creatures have been labeled with gfp! It exists in 4d! (x, y, z, t) --> b/c always changing! (so time component too!) The living cell is veery dynamic! (always in motion!) Eukaryotic cells have compartments (membrane-bound) and components (not membrane- bound) Organelle = a membrane-bound compartment with characteristic content and specific function.
