Predictions #1: the more rain there is, the more earthworms come out. Hypothesis #2: the rain causes the earthworms to be in a vulnerable state. Prediction #2: the more rain there is, the more vulnerable the earthworms are. Mid 1700"s : haley predicts orbit of a comet (1531, 1607, 1758) Prediction: if this is true, i will see another comet in 1758, There was one in 1758, therefore scienti c method.
