Today"s lecture: course organization, what is neuroanatomy, cells of the nervous system. How to get in touch with me: email, ccreigh@uoguelph. ca, office hours, ovc main building, rm 3615, virtual office hours: tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm, by appointment as well. Additional hours will be made available closer to test times. Teaching methods: lectures, every monday & wednesdays weeks 1 through 5, human anatomy lab, monday, october 16th, 2017, 4 sections: 10:00-11:00am, 11:15am-12:12pm, 12:30-1:30pm, & 1:45-2:45pm: sign-up sheets in class, case studies, problem based learning approach to neuroanatomy, presentations on wednesdays weeks 6 through 12. Term test #3: week 11: lowest mark will be dropped. Evaluation: term tests, scheduled outside of class time, 5:30 to 7:00pm, rooms & dates. By the end of today"s lecture, successful students will be able to: Describe the localization of a brain structure using appropriate neuroanatomical terminology. List the principle cells of the nervous system. Describe the functions of each of these cells.
