Additionally, it is responsible for the management, scheduling, and interaction of tasks. You access the operating system through the desktop on your computer. These are small programs that perform many of the general housekeeping tasks for the computer, such as system maintenance and file compression. These types of operating systems are used in devices that perform a repetitive series of specific tasks. These devices may or may not require interaction with users and may be time critical.
