These men were resented for their wealth. Sparta was going through same idea (going to see priestess of delphi to set balance) He fails and produces violence- alcmaeonidae, a family, fights back. Draco 621 bc attempts to legislate stability by enforcing a harsh set of laws. The harsh legislation fails to create stability. So they turn to a man names solon (638-558) He is asked by the athenians to create reforms to create stability.
