There are other complicated patterns, such as going to maine to pollinate blueberry. You can do this because bees are not flying during winter. Using a net to cover all the hives. Because weather is getting warm, so that they are not coming out. Loads easy to spill on the ground, happens every year. There are a lot of almond trees in california central valley and a lot of bees are moving to cali to pollinate. Hives are put near the almond field in nov and pollination doesn"t happen until late jan. Beekeepers would providing everything artificially to build up the population so that they have lot of bees when pollination happens.
